Abstract: The International Decade of Indigenous Languages (IDIL 2022-32) declared by the United Nations for the years 2022 to 2032 is a global initiative aimed at promoting, preserving, and revitalizing Indigenous languages worldwide. The Session covers a wide range of topics around the International Decade of Indigenous Languages and the role of Wikimedia and Open Knowledge in preserving and revitalizing Indigenous Languages across the globe and India. The Session also covers the good works of Boli Cheto Foundation in collaboration with Wikimedia and other partner organizations in preserving and building open knowledge resources for the Gondi, Kolami, and Rabha languages of India.
