Community

More than just a program, Wiki-N'zuñdeuh is an association of people who make the Wikimedia mission their priority.

Made up mainly of students and teachers (more than 60% women), this working group is open to anyone who shares the Wikimedia vision, believes in the free exchange of knowledge, and campaigns for women's empowerment.

Membership is free and open to all; the only requirement being to enjoy learning and sharing.

Committees

Four committees form the administrative body of Wiki N'zuñdeuh:

Coordination Committee

Composed of a committee manager, a finance manager and deputy manager, and the chairs of the three other committees, its task is to plan, coordinate, and monitor all program strategies. It ensures that program values are upheld and that harmony is maintained within the community.

Scientific Committee

Led by the committee chair and three members, its mission is to ensure the quality of cultural content on Wikimedia projects. It develops activities to combat false information and bias on Wikipedia and sister projects.

Wiki clubs management Committee

Run by a manager and three members, this committee aims to create and harmonize Wiki Clubs. It oversees activities within Wiki Clubs and ensures compliance with the Universal Code of Conduct.

Communication and partnership committee

Led by a committee chair and three members, it is responsible for communications activities and managing social media and meta pages. It also oversees cooperation between program stakeholders. This committee responds to all partnership needs and requests.

A Wiki club bureau

One of the objectives of our working group is to create Wiki clubs within Cameroon universities. The two Wiki clubs created at the University of Douala and Garoua are made up of four representatives and two advisors:

Main representative

Only a female person is assigned to this position.

She acts as an intermediary between the members of the Wiki club, its administration, and the Wiki N’zuñdeuh program. She ensures that the activities carried out within her group contribute to the mission and that values are upheld.

Logistics coordinator

He/she is responsible for all the logistics of the working group (room, chairs, tables, video projector, etc.).

Finance officers

This position is held by two people, regardless of gender. They ensure that the funds made available to the group are used rationally.

Advisors

This role is filled by two people, one of whom is a member of the Wiki Clubs management committee and the other a teacher at the university. They act as guides for the Wiki Clubs advisors.
