| Description :
The Affiliations Committee advises and makes recommendations regarding the recognition and existence of Wikimedia movement affiliates. We recommend to the Board of Trustees of WMF the recognition, approval, and existence of Wikimedia movement affiliates, and facilitating the creation of those organizations. In other words, the Committee helps Wikimedians from all around the world self-organize into chapters, thematic organizations, and user groups, and to gain official recognition from the Wikimedia Foundation. At this meeting, the community will have a chance to get more information about the work of the Committee and the working processes. |
