The WikiArabia 2026 call for submissions has officially closed. We appreciate the interest and contributions of all applicants. The review and selection process is currently underway, and the outcomes will be announced as soon as they have been finalized.

Criteria and Highlights

  • For this edition, a Program Manager and a Program Co-Lead will be appointed to oversee and coordinate the work of the Program Committee and the program development process, ensuring the creation of a strong, coherent, and high-quality program.
  • All approved sessions; including workshops, lightning talks, and presentations must adhere to the guidance, recommendations, and notes provided by the Program team.
  • The program will primarily focus on the defined themes and topics of the conference. However, innovative and creative "out-of-the-box" proposals may also be considered, provided they demonstrate clear relevance and value to the conference.
  • Program approval does not imply or guarantee a scholarship or financial support.
  • If your submission is approved and you are later unable to attend the conference, you must inform the Core Organizing Team at least one month prior to the conference.

Submissions

The call for submissions is now closed. It was open from 15 March to 20 April 2026, during which applicants could choose from four types of interventions, each with a variable duration:

  • Lightning talk: 15 minutes
  • Classic presentation: 45 minutes
  • Workshop: 45-60 minutes
  • Talk Session: 45-50 minutes
