WikiCitaRasa is a workshop or training project focused on writing Indonesian culinary recipes on Indonesian Wikibooks using public domain references. This project aims to enrich the content on Indonesian Wikibooks and increase the number of contributors, which currently remains limited. It is initiated and organized by Wikimedia Bandung Community in collaboration with local Wikimedia communities across Indonesia. The project runs from May to September 2025.
Objective
[edit]The project is expected to bring about the following impacts:
- Enriching content on local culinary recipes in Indonesian Wikibooks. This effort will contribute to the growth of digital information about Indonesian cuisine, making it easier for anyone—not just Wikimedia volunteers—to access and contribute to the knowledge of Indonesia’s culinary heritage.
- Educating volunteers on the use of freely licensed (public domain) sources from Wikisource for creating content on Indonesian Wikibooks. This initiative not only applies to culinary recipe sources, but also equips volunteers with the skills to apply the same approach to a variety of topics in the future.
- Increasing the number of contributors and enhancing their writing skills on Indonesian Wikibooks. Through collective volunteer efforts, this will help expand and improve the content available on the platform.
