Prior to 2019, the Wikicite grant was project managed directly, within the Research team of the Wikimedia Foundation. A steering committee formed from the volunteer event management team from the 2018 Wikicite conference has served an oversight role for the new role of a part-time contractor from the community.
The steering committee is seeking new members. People who have a professional expertise in library metadata, especially outside of the context of Europe/North America, are particularly encouraged to apply. Please contact the project manager if you are interested.
