WikiClub Davao
WikiClub Davao is a WikiClub based in Davao City, Philippines. Founded on March 25, 2026, it is the third WikiClub to be founded by Shared Knowledge Asia Pacific (SKAP) and the second in the Mindanao region, after WikiClub Zamboanga.
Mission
[edit]Davao City is the largest city in the Philippines by land area and one of the most culturally diverse. It is home to Lumnad communities, Moro heritage, vibrant arts and world-class biodiversity. Davao has story the world deserves to read- yet many of these stories remain underrepresented on Wikipedia.
Establishing WikiClub Davao means creating a dedicated, locally rooted group that can systematically document Mindanao's rich heritage, close knowledge gaps and inspire a new generation of digital knowledge workers right in the city.
Activities

[edit]In 2025, Shared Knowledge Asia Pacific and WikiClub Zamboanga conducted an edit-a-thon at the University of the Immaculate Concepcion, with student participants from the university's IT department. The documentation can be accessed here.
2026
[edit]Launching of WikiClub Davao
[edit]On 25 March 2026, WikiClub Davao was officially launched at the University of the Immaculate Conception with the simultaneous launch of WikiWomen Davao, WikiCovers Davao and followed by the micro-event, WikiNights Davao.
In line with the International Women's Month, lady students and Computer Science and IT students joined the launch of WikiWomen Davao while learning how to cover relevant community events through the Wiki Covers Davao workshop.
