WikiClub Tech NMAMIT
WikiClub Tech NMAMIT is a student-driven Wikimedia community based in
Nitte, Karnataka, India. It was founded in August 2025 at
Nitte Mahalinga Adyantaya Institute of Technology (NMAMIT).
The club aims to introduce students, newcomers, and professionals to the Wikimedia Movement by encouraging both technical and non-technical contributions to Wikimedia projects.
OBJECTIVES
- Promote free knowledge, open culture, and open-source contribution.
- Encourage contributions to Wikipedia, Wikidata, and Wikimedia Commons.
- Introduce students to technical Wikimedia workflows such as Phabricator, Gerrit, and Toolforge.
- Conduct workshops, edit-a-thons, and mentorship programs.
- Build a sustainable Wikimedia contributor community at NMAMIT.
ACTIVITIES
The club organizes a mix of online and offline activities, including:
- Wikimedia orientation and onboarding sessions.

FOUNDING AND HISTORY
