Panel discussion/presentation with follow up workshop (60 minutes, or possible to do two shorter sessions?)

Abstract (in about 300 words)

This session will be a short presentation on Wikipedia in Education from a global perspective, giving a summary of available tools and resources, including relevant best practices.

Following the presentation we will look at some specific topics. The following is a suggested starting point, but others may be raised based on the participants’ input:

  • Setting realistic goals
  • Avoiding common pitfalls
  • Using existing resources
  • Identifying gaps in support

The session will end with a concluding plenary for the Education Track to help participants reflect on their learnings from the morning. We will use the following prompts to guide our discussion

Expected outcomes of the session are

  • Awareness of existing resources and tools for program leaders
  • Awareness of best practices in goal setting and program design
  • Identifying gaps in support where existing methods are inadequate
