WikiForAll program series 2 – An Academic curriculum bridging program through Wikimedia projects

WikiForAll Series 2 is a continuation of WikiForAll Series 1, a program that supports students from rural and semi-rural India—especially first-generation graduates and women—in overcoming barriers to technology education by engaging them with Wikimedia’s technical platforms and Open Source projects. While WikiForAll Series 1 introduced the fundamentals of the web and Wikimedia projects like Commons and Wikidata, WikiForAlll Series 2 focuses on sustaining participation through skill-building in programming and open technologies, career-oriented mentorship and internships, and the creation of campus-based WikiClubs. The program not only equips students with practical technical skills and stronger portfolios but also helps onboard new Wikimedia contributors, promotes inclusive community building, and empowers youth to pursue technology careers within the Open Knowledge ecosystem.

• G2Commons- a free, open-source web tool that makes it easy to upload media from Google Drive and Google Photos directly to Wikimedia Commons — the world's largest free media repository.

• Wikistar - a web-based tool designed to streamline the organization, monitoring, and evaluation of Wikimedia editathon events.The platform enables organizers to create editathons with configurable rules, scoring criteria, and jury assignments. monitor progress through real-time dashboards and analytics.

• Wiki Loves Data Toolforge - a free web-based tool that displays statistics and analytics for Wiki Loves competitions. It shows information such as number of images uploaded, number of contributors, and how many images are used across Wikimedia projects, helping track participation and impact of photo contests worldwide.

• Wikidata Mobile App - an Android application that allows users to search and view information such as names and descriptions of different entities. The app sends a request through the internet, receives the data in JSON format, and displays it in a clean and easy-to-understand way. It is developed using Kotlin and follows a structured approach to manage data efficiently.
