WikiGap Challenge
8 March – 8 April, 2020
[Social media: #WikiGap_Challenge]

The first prize is awarded by the UN Human Rights Office. The rest of the prizes are awarded by Wikimedia Sverige. The prizes will be announced as soon as possible. If articles that have been written and nominated during the Challenge are in the Feature or Good article nomination process (or equivalent on your wiki) we will wait for the process to finalize. Please inform us about any nominations.

The prizes will be awarded to the Wikipedians who have verifiably made the best contributions in any language combination (see the rules and scoring system).

The Prizes are:[1]

  • 1st: The winner will receive the opportunity to participate in events in Geneva, Switzerland, organized by UN Human Rights. The precise time and occasion of the events will be announced later and depend on the evolving situation of the global COVID-19 pandemic, as we want to protect the safety and wellbeing of the winner and others.
  • 2nd: A voucher on the equivalent of 1,000 Swedish crowns (sek) in the Wikipedia Store
  • 3rd: A voucher on the equivalent of 500 Swedish crowns in the Wikipedia Store
  • 4th-10th: Wikipedia pencil, Wikipedia pin and Wikipedia decals.
