This page coordinates the event WikiGoesACCT. Planned is a three day conference at the African College of Commerce and Technology (short ACCT) in Kabale, Uganda.

Goal[edit]
The goal of the conference is to offer the students of ACCT and other attendees an introduction to the behind the scenes of Wikipedia. The use of Wikipedia for research is quite high (as common for students of all kind) but one can rarely find knowledge about the way the information is put on Wikipedia.
Furthermore, the following is planned:
- Creation of an article about the African College of Commerce and Technology
- Photowalk around ACCT and Kabale; pictures to be used inside of the article and on Wikimedia Commons
- Establishment of a WikipediaClub or something comparable to enable ACCT to continue training students
