This presentation offers a clear answer to the third goal of the conference: African knowledge on Wikipedia, how to encourage more editors from Africa to edit African related content on Wikipedia? By editing directly in Wikidata, we can highly increase the available content about Africa for Wikimedia projects in different languages. Tools and tips helpful for Wikipedians will be described including Wikidata game.
Cette prsentation offre une réponse claire au troisième objectif de la conférence : La connaissance africaine sur Wikipédia, comment encourager plus d'éditeurs d'Afrique à contribuer à du contenu africain sur Wikipédia ? EN contribuant directement sur Wikidata, on peut considérablement croitre le centenu sur l'Afrique pour les projects Wikimédias dans différentes langues. Des outils et des astuces utiles pour les wikipédiens seront exposés incluant le jeu Wikidata game.
- What will attendees take away from this session?
The workshop will allow attendees to try Wikidata and learn about it. A lot of exercises specifically developed for the African context will be available during the workshop. They will learn also where to ask help for Wikidata related issues.
L'atelier va permettre aux participants d'essayer et d'apprendre Wikidata. Plusieurs exercices spécifiquement développés pour le contexte africain seront disponibles durant l'atelier. Ils vont aussi apprendre à comment chercher de l'Aide sur des questions liées à Wikidata.
