Even though Wikimedia grows at a fast rate worldwide, Africa has just joined its activities and is organically growing to meet the expectations and demands for content from the continent. Many strategies have been picked and adapted to the African context without necessarily tailoring to suit the context or the prevalent situations on the ground. The goal of this session is to facilitate strategic discussions on the issues affecting the various communities on the African continent. Discussions around common problems or themes will be curated with the expectations of developing an African Strategy. The session is open to all community representatives or participants who wish to play a critical role to conversations that will shape the next 1 - 3 years of the way we work on the continent and position ourselves to provide and obtain resources.
