WikiProyekto Hiligaynon

The WikiProyekto Hiligaynon is an initiative of the Pilipinas Panorama Community which aims to highlight the Hiligaynon language for Wikimedia projects especially the creation of a Hiligaynon Wikipedia language project. It is one of the most-spoken native languages in the Philippines; mainly concentrated in the regions of Western Visayas, Negros Occidental, and parts of Soccsksargen region in Mindanao.

Hiligaynon language is the lingua franca of the Western Visayas region, and is native to Iloilo City, the region's largest city and regional center. This project also intends to highlight the cultural heritage found in various Hiligaynon-speaking and related areas for the Philippine Panorama Project. WikiProyekto Hiligaynon is a part of the language preservation advocacy of the Pilipinas Panorama Community, a thematic Wikimedia community based in Metro Manila, Philippines.
