Over 70% of the targeted university students have access to electronic devices like laptops, phones, and tablets, which will make the project sustainable with enhanced contributions to this project.
Introducing Wikipedia to this community is fundamental since mentoring fresh university students to join the Wikimedia movement and contribute to open knowledge sharing is vital for the growth of the community and enhances the quality of Wikipedia articles. This project will further lead to the creation of Wiki Clubs to ensure sustainability and growth, with compliance monitoring that makes it easy to monitor and evaluate the project and ensure sustainable training and mentorships. The establishment of the Wiki Clubs will be an entry point for university students to learn more about policies of article writing, which include notability, neutrality, collaborative editing, and ensuring skills in critical sourcing and referencing articles. Our key focus projects will include Wikipedia, Wikidata and Wikimedia Commons.
