To Captue the Thazhathangadi Mosque was a community photo documentation activity held on 24 July 2025, aimed at preserving and showcasing the cultural and architectural heritage of Areekode Thazhathangadi Palli — one of the oldest mosques in the Malappuram district of Kerala.This photowalk was conducted as part of ongoing Wikimedia heritage documentation efforts, focusing on local architecture, inscriptions, and art forms that represent Kerala’s traditional mosque design and Islamic heritage.The Thazhathangadi Mosque of Areekode, locally known as Thazhathangadi Palli, is a centuries-old structure that reflects the unique wooden architecture and artistic traditions of Kerala’s Muslim communities.
