Wiki Loves Africa 2020 in Zambia
About the campaign[edit]
Wiki Loves Africa 2020 was photography that was organized for the second time. The Contest was under the theme "Transportation" or just simply "Africa on the Move". Read more about the contest WLA 2020
We did a lot of online plus a few Offline activities this was due to the Coronavirus some of the activities included:
- Two basic training for photographers on how to edit Wikimedia commons and what kind of pictures to take.
- The event was launched at the University of Zambia.
- Photo Walk around the neighborhood near the University.
The timeframe of which is 15 February until the end of 15th April 2020 under the theme “Transportation”. Wiki loves Africa focuses on sharing and accessibility of visual content i.e. photos. Then Due to the COVID-19 situation, the contest was extended to 15th April 2020.
