Whether you're part of a chapter, user group, or WikiProject, this is your opportunity to celebrate and amplify African literature on Wikipedia.

Organizers

  • List your community in the list of participating communities.
  • Host an edit-a-thon, workshop, or literary Wiki salon.
  • Lead outreach in your country, university, or language community.
  • Mentor new editors and help them get started.
  • Translate or localise campaign materials.

Contributors

  • Create or improve articles on African and Afro-diasporic writers, publishers, and literary themes.
  • Translate existing articles into your language.
  • Add literary data (e.g. books, authors, genres) to Wikidata.
  • Upload book covers or author images to Wikimedia Commons.
  • Don't forget to use the hashtag #WLAfroLit in the edit summary!
