Join a global movement led by Wikimedia communities!
Whether you're part of a chapter, user group, or WikiProject, this is your opportunity to celebrate and amplify African literature on Wikipedia.
Organizers
- List your community in the list of participating communities.
- Host an edit-a-thon, workshop, or literary Wiki salon.
- Lead outreach in your country, university, or language community.
- Mentor new editors and help them get started.
- Translate or localise campaign materials.
Contributors
- Create or improve articles on African and Afro-diasporic writers, publishers, and literary themes.
- Translate existing articles into your language.
- Add literary data (e.g. books, authors, genres) to Wikidata.
- Upload book covers or author images to Wikimedia Commons.
- Don't forget to use the hashtag #WLAfroLit in the edit summary!
