Opening Ceremony

On July 26, 2025, we marked a significant milestone with the formal inauguration of the Wiki Loves Assamese Culture 2025 project, held in conjunction with the Granth Yatra project program.

Program

The programs of the day (26 July, 2025) are as follows:
Vanue: IRIS Hotel, Manik Nagr, R.G.Baruah Road, Guwahati
Time: 10:00 AM to 04:30 PM

  • 10:00 am- Light refreshments
  • 10:10 am- Welcome speech
  • 10:20 am- Assamese Wikisource from its inception : Video Presentation by Dibya Dutta, Babul Baisya
  • 10:40 am- Seminar: Topic- The role of Wikisource in preserving the heritage of Assamese literature and the importance of its popularization as a pocket library
  • 11:20 am- Felicitation to the guests
  • 12:00 pm- speeches from the attendees
  • 01:00 pm- Lunch.
  • 02:15 pm- Group photo.
  • 02:30 pm- Inauguration of the Wiki Project Wiki Loves Assamese Culture 2025 (Nayan Jyoti Nath, Bikash Dihingia).
  • 3:30 pm- Group discussion on communities future steps.

Closing Ceremony

The closing ceremony of WLAC 2025 is scheduled to be held on 25 December 2025 in Guwahati, Assam. The event will also feature the Chandan Chiring Phukan Memorial Assamese Wikimedian of the Year Award ceremony.
