Wiki Loves Eurovision 2026
Wiki Loves Eurovision is an article-writing contest held on the CEE-language Wikipedia editions from 10 May to 10 June, 2026. The event is being organized by members of the CEE Youth Group with support from the CEE Hub microgrant programme.
Background
[edit]At the CEE Youth Group's meeting held in Yerevan in November 2025, responsibilities and goals for the 2026 term were established. One of these goals is for young people to organize youth competitions. Group members who volunteered to help achieve this goal exchanged various ideas. At the “Wiki Loves Eurovision User Group” presentation during the CEE Meeting 2024 in Istanbul, the idea of an edit-a-thon—which was cited as an example of potential events—was considered a good starting point and has been planned as the first event (two events are planned for the 2026 period).
As the young organizers, we would like to thank everyone who contributed to the presentation of this idea.
