Feminism and Folklore
[edit]Feminism and Folklore is an international writing contest held annually on Wikipedia during February and March. The contest aims to document folk cultures, traditions, festivals, rituals, and notable women in folklore from different parts of the world. It encourages contributors to create and improve articles related to feminism and folklore in various languages on Wikipedia.
Wiki Loves Folklore (WLF):
[edit]The Feminism and Folklore contest complements Wiki Loves Folklore (WLF), a global photography campaign on Wikimedia Commons. WLF encourages photographers to document folk culture visually, contributing images, videos, and audio files under free licenses. These media files can be used across Wikimedia projects, enriching articles created during the writing contest.
