Wiki Loves Folklore 2022 in Haiti

Wiki Loves Folklore is an international photography competition organized by Wikimedia communities to document cultures in different regions of the world.

The fundamental objective of the competition is to collect photos of human cultural diversity to illustrate articles in the global free encyclopedia Wikipedia and other projects of the Wikimedia Foundation. The submitted photos must correspond to the theme, although the competition is not limited to any official list of protected areas, which means that most users will be able to find several relevant subjects close to the theme, whether they are festivals, dances, cuisine, clothing, or daily life, a routine highlighting the popular culture of that region.

Local prizes

1^st price: 1 tablet + 1 set of books
2^nd price: 1 router + 1 internet plan for one month + Books
Consolation prize: 1 router + 1 set of books

International prizes

1^st prize: $400 dollars
2^2nd prize: $200 dollars
3^rd price: $100 dollars
Consolation prizes for the top 10: $10 dollars each
Prize for Best Video and Best Audio File: $25 each
User who uploaded the most images: 1^st prize: $100 dollars, 2^nd prize: $50 dollars
Wiki Loves Folklore Postcards for the top 100 uploaders.
Certificates and postcards for local organizers.

Anyone is allowed to participate, regardless of age, nationality and place of residence, as long as they agree to release their work under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license.
