Wiki Loves Women 2021 in Cameroon is a project aiming at improving the visibility of Cameroonian women on various Wikimedia projects by creating new or improving existing entries on Wikipedia, Wikidata, Wikicommons and Wikiquote. The project will run from August 2021 to December 2021. The project will also celebrate Cameroonian women leaders through the SheSaid drive 2021.

Project timeline[edit]

  • Preparation and Planning: August 2021
  • Training Sessions: September 2021 – October 2021
  • SheSaid Campaign: October - November 2021
  • Photos collection and shooting: November 2021
  • Awarding and Closing : December 2021

Project Goals[edit]

  1. Recruit and train new editors from Cameroon and improve skills for existing editors to contribute on Wikipedia, Commons, Wikidata and Wikiquote.
  2. Raise awareness about gender gap on Wikipedia
  3. Add and improve wikipedia articles on Cameroonian women
  4. Participate in the #SheSaid Campaign with new entries for prominent Cameroonian Women on Wikiquote
