Organize Wiki for Sustainable Futures in your area
[edit]To organize Wiki for Sustainable Futures 2026 in your region, country or at your city level, consider the following guidelines:
- Define an Audience: This Campaign is better suited for people with an active interest in environmental topics. Your audience can be university students, NGO professionals, youth movements. Connect with their interests.
- Find a Partner: Establish contact with an organization with a track record on the topic that can help you organize. They could help you do audience outreach and communications, give you a space to organize your activity, or provide you expert knowledge on the topic.
- Define a Local Topic List: Prepare a topic list that makes sense for your local or national context.
- Create an Event Page: Create a dedicated page for your event using the Event Registration Tool. Remember you need to have the Event Organizer Right first. Please use the tag "WFSF" on the title so it can be automatically sorted in the "Join an event" page.
- Prepare for Onsite Events: For events conducted onsite, using the Event Registration Tool will allow you to track participants' contributions and collect their usernames. Take pictures, videos and testimoniales of the event for further documentation. Celebrate participants' contributions by thanking them publicly during the event or using the "Thank You" button.
- Follow-up: Follow-up with participants by inviting them to future activities, sign up to a WhatsApp group, join a local user group or chapter. Think about activities to keep participants engaged.
