WikiForHumanRights: inclusive bridging the technological gaps for young people with disabilities

The aim of the #WikiForHumanRight campaign is to make sure that everyone has access to neutral, fact-based, and current information around our Right to bridge the technological gaps. The Right to information especially bridging the technological gaps in people living with disabilities is both a legal right acknowledged by the UN, but also a way of connecting human rights to sustainability. As the UN Program highlighted: [1], and human rights need to be at the center of the solutions.

The role of Wikipedia has never mattered more than now. Everyone everywhere needs access to information especially to be enabled technologically as it directly impact their lives. We can increase knowledge and integrate in an inclusive way people living with the disabilities in all aspects of technological evolution especially the internet use for the sustainable future. With WikiForHumanRights this year, we are focusing on the implications of the right to sustainability. Integrating the young people in the discussions and workshops which prepare them for readiness on the technological evolution and the science of the future including artificial intelligence responsible use.

Information plays a critical role in our shared ability to not only understand these interconnected concepts but also mitigate the causes and adapt for a sustainable future for all. Fulfilling the human right to sustainability empowers those most affected especially those living with disabilities. In order to participate in decision-making, and access justice and human rights protection. Filling gaps on Wikipedia about these topics, helps the public make the thousands of decisions needed to address these sustainability topics of interest.
