Wikibase Community User Group/2025 Board Candidate Shortlisting

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

This page records voting by the Wikibase Community User Group to select the best six candidates from the twelve applicants for the upcoming election to the Board of the Wikimedia Foundation, according to the candidate criteria.

Voting is similar to the 2021 candidate election:

  • Eligible voters score all candidates independently from 1 to 5 - where 1 = Oppose Oppose, 2 = Neutral Neutral, 3 =  Weak support, 4 = Support Support and 5 = Strong support Strong support
  • If a voter gives no vote for a candidate, it's assumed to be Neutral Neutral. An average of  Weak support across all voters is required.
  • Each person may vote on all candidates only once, with one account. Anonymous votes will not be counted.
  • The top six candidates by score will be selected. In the event of a tie, the candidates for which the most Oppose, then Neutral scores will be eliminated in turn. Failing that, tied candidates will not be selected.
  • Votes must be made by Monday, July 28, 2025 23:00 GMT
