Agenda

Notes

[edit]
  • A big point of discussion was whether PTAC would provide direct grants for technical projects i.e. Grants:Programs/Wikimedia Research & Technology Fund similar to WMDE's "Open Call" rather than just strategic direction, GreenReaper plans to apply and if interviewed will raise that question, other than that suggests looking to WMDE or perhaps better outside the movement to national bodies or institutions who may be interested in Wikibase; also noted that the form is unreliable over browser restarts, so save your submissions.

TuukkaH says: Did you say that PTAC is planning to provide grants? Is there a public message about this?
16:13
GreenReaper: We should probably mention in the notes what I said for this but for the benefit of the chat log the answer was "not in the current messaging"
16:22
TuukkaH: Yes, it will be interesting to hear WMDE's next steps as well
