  • Natural history museum, two main databases + archives, repository, etc. People names, expeditions, all strings sometimes with ID, want to create a wikibase to assemble [stories?] and create unique entities and connect to ORCID ID etc. Would like to use the opportunity to clean up own databases. Chose it to connect to Wikidata and use OpenRefine to clean up and write/edit Wikibase - but not quite there yet.
  • Ayco: tried to create development and acceptance environment with separate production managed by infrastructure team, install via rigid manner of ansible, docker, docker compose. Also tried to provide traffic. Focused on security due to prominent national hacking instances of e.g. police, trying to automate install. Main hurdle is connection between OpenRefine and Wikibase. Codebase for connector is not maintained. Hoping TuukkaH's instructions work there but have a few more questions, one issue they have a ticket in Phabricator regarding SPARQL linking to Wikidata. Curious about what roadmap is in general, are such questons going to be resolved? Valerie suggested WBGN (Netherlands Wikibase group) Annika suggests that this group is no longer active) and Andra Waagmeester.
  • Question from Sam: I have a question regarding OAuth sequence between the Quickstatements and the wikibase and the log in. The problem with that is the request to (http://localhost:8840/api.php?action=is_logged_in) returns the not logged in after initiating the login process. However, initiating the OAuth handshake seems to work and I'm redirected to Quickstatements afterwards. I'd really appreciate any guidance.
    • Valerie: I'm on this with the devs and we'll get back to you about it in the next days. There's also planning to adjust documentation so everyone will read about it.
  • Depeesha has engineering background and is learning about the product, knows there is a desire for Wikibase.suite for users specifically of it, trying to understand what is desired to be changed.
  • Considering a separate Wikibase suite telegram group (Valerie noted that this was in part because Cloud has one and maybe an attached broadcast group would help); GreenReaper suggested separating Wikibase community into topic threads instead (Cloud would probably have been a thread rather than a group if developed initially by WMDE and if that feature existed at the time).
  • Suggestion from GreenReaper at the end that it has been a while since we have had an election for the two primary contacts of the WBUG affiliate, and perhaps it would be a good idea to have a new one, especially considering Lozana (who was appointed) is understandably mostly involved in the Stakeholder group at this time.
