Wikicamp Kurdistan 2026 was a three-day in-person event in Erbil, aimed at bringing together participants in Kurdistan to introduce them to the Wikimedia movement and provide training on how to become active Wikimedians. The event was conducted in both Kurdish and Arabic, offering participants the opportunity to learn about Wikimedia projects, contribute to free knowledge, and develop their editing skills. The first edition, held in 2026, was organized collaboratively by Wikimedia Kuwait, Wikimedia Iraq, and Kurdish Wikimedia.

The Youth Hub Center in Erbil will serve as the main local partner for this event. It is a dedicated space for empowering youth capabilities, fostering innovation, and supporting networking by providing young people with modern facilities, resources, and services.

The gathering featured a thematic program that included dedicated workshop days delivered in three languages, specialized training sessions, panel discussions, and photography walks. The program provided participants with opportunities to build their skills, exchange knowledge, engage with the Wikimedia movement, and contribute to documenting and sharing free knowledge.
