WikiClub Tech Envoy Program
[edit]At WikiClub Tech, our mission extends to nurturing leadership within our student communities. The Envoy Program identifies and empowers dedicated individuals within established WikiClub Tech chapters to act as key drivers of local activities, technical mentorship, and community growth. Envoys are the advocates of Wikimedia and open-source technology within their institutions, working closely with their peers and the broader WikiClub Tech network. Encourage high quality contributions, foster gender diversity, and promote Global participation.

Who We Are Looking For
[edit]We are looking for dedicated and proactive students who are:
- Active members of an existing WikiClub Tech chapter at their college.
- Passionate about Wikimedia's mission, open-source principles, and technology in general.
- Proactive and Responsible: Individuals who take initiative and are accountable for their commitments.
- Good Communicators: Able to articulate ideas clearly and engage with diverse groups.
- Eager to Learn, Lead, and Inspire Others: Possessing a growth mindset and a desire to uplift their peers.
Role and Responsibilities of an Envoy
[edit]WikiClub Tech Envoys are expected to:
- Act as the primary liaison between their college's WikiClub Tech chapter and the central WikiClub Tech team/coordinators.
- Lead by Example: Maintain an active and constructive contribution record on one or more Wikimedia projects, serving as a role model for new contributors.
- Lead the planning and execution of at least 2 technical events or contribution
- Mentor and provide guidance to new and existing members of their WikiClub Tech chapter, especially regarding Wikimedia and Open-source technical contributions.
- Actively promote and Contributes to Wikimedia projects, open-source contribution opportunities, and WikiClub Tech initiatives on their campus.
- Regularly report on chapter activities and provide feedback to the central WikiClub Tech team.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and active technical community within their college.
- Encourage participation in broader Wikimedia technical events and campaigns.
