Travel management policy

Travel booking

1. WM Turkic UG will book flight or train tickets (for Türkiye) for the participants after they fill out the travel survey.
2. The granted travel period for the ISTCON22 starts on October 20 (arrival date) and ends on October 24 (departure date).
3. Once your flight or train tickets are booked, you will receive your travel itinerary and your tickets via e-mail.
4. We will only reimburse your BUS tickets from Istanbul Airport (New Airport or Sabiha Gökçen) to the hotel and back.

Hotel

1. WM Turkic UG will book hotel rooms for the granted travel period and will not cover any extra hotel nights.
2. We will not reimburse bookings made independently.
3. We will book shared rooms in the hotel chosen by WM Turkic UG: Mercure İstanbul Altunizade, Altunizade Mah. Kısıklı Cad. Oymacı Sokak No:9 Üsküdar, 34662 İstanbul.
4. Once your hotel room is booked, you will receive a booking confirmation via e-mail containing all necessary details on your check-in / check-out dates, the location of the hotel, and how to get to the ISTCON22 venue from the hotel.

Travel health insurance

1. Wikimedia Foundation will organize travel health insurance for the time of your stay.
2. WM Turkic UG & Dijital Bilgi Dernegi (Wikimedia Turkey) will help you with any health matter.
