Objective: Present our initiative to elaborate a new manifesto for all the librarians and information professions on Wikimedia.

Description: This presentation is focused on reflect with the audience why it is necessary to create this manifesto and engage their participation.

Workshop Manifesto Working Group, 14:00 - 14:45, 45 minutes

Defining what a librarian does on Wikimedia

Objective: Define our role and activities on Wikimedia as librarians and information professions.

Description: To introduce this working session, we want participants to problematize our activities and practices on Wikimedia, what we do currently and what else we could explore or improve.

Delineating the ethical mission of the librarians on Wikimedia to visualize a manifesto

Objective: Define fundamental basics for the manifesto.

Description: Wikimedia and librarianship have similar philosophies and ethical missions, which are compromised with deep values that we must identify and name them loudly.

Workflow:

Objective: Explore a variety of core values and principles related to the manifesto.

Objective: Select core values and principles with a justification.

Workflow:

Core values/principles for the manifesto Objective: Redact a list of values and principles for the manifesto. Final discusses the principles that must be added to the manifesto. Workflow:
