In 65 days, 80 editors created or highly improved 759 articles. This is the result of 2014 Chinese Wikipedia Edit-Call, an annual editing competition since 2006.

The Edit-Call, "DongYuanLing" in Chinese (literally means Mobilization Order), is a traditional activities of Chinese Wikipedia every year host in summer, to encourage young editors (who has summer vacation) contribute on Wikipedia. The first Edit-Call was host by a Malaysian Wikipedian User:真實事求是 between 15 July and 1 August., 2006 The first call was only ask Wikipedians to create at least two articles. The second Edit-Call was host right after the first one from 15 August to 1 October. Based on previous experience, User:真實事求是 improve the activity in many ways. The criteria was introduced that every attendees should write at least 5 articles to complete the "mission". He also asked everyone post the message of the Call to any other editor who did not know the activities. 66 editor attended the second Edit-Call, which almost double the first one (33 attendees), and around 400 articles were created or improved.

In the third Edit-Call,from 1 December, 2006 to 1 January, 2007 , User:真實事求是 introduced the score system, instead of how many articles need to be wrote. Attendee will get 1 point for every article is created or improved, but 1 point bonus will be given if the article is selected for DYK(Do You Know?), 5 points bonus if the article is a good article, or 10 points bonus for feature article. Also, the attendee who complete the "mission" (10 points) will gain a "WikiHonor". Instead of writing plenty of small articles, the third Edit-Call focused on the quality of Chinese Wikipedia.
