Wiki Loves Earth is an international photographic competition to promote natural heritage sites around the World through Wikimedia projects (mainly Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons).
The goal of the project is to collect freely-licensed pictures of as many natural monuments and protected areas as possible and contribute to nature protection by raising public awareness. Those pictures are to be used to illustrate articles on Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects.
