Welcome to the Meta home page of the Wikimedia Blog. Run by the Wikimedia Foundation, the blog publishes announcements from the organization and news from around the Wikimedia movement. We are looking for intriguing post ideas from community members that will interest our readership, which is primarily from outside the movement. Ideally, your idea will bring a unique and unusual perspective to initiatives and happenings on Wikimedia projects from around the world, with an emphasis on high impact and public interest.

Drafting a post

In an effort to develop strategic campaigns and content that advance our goals, we will no longer be accepting incoming requests or pre-written content for the blog. Rather, we encourage you to reach out to us directly at talktocomms@wikimedia.org with an explanation of your communications aims so that we can work with you to determine the strategies and tactics that will have the biggest impact. Community focused blog posts can be submitted to Wikimedia Space. You can pitch an idea and draft your post following the process, and you can email your questions to wikimedia-space@wikimedia.org.
