Overview

The CEE Hub Status Meetings are monthly online sessions organised by the Wikimedia CEE Hub where the CEE Hub staff and Steering Committee share updates on ongoing projects, report on progress, and discuss upcoming activities. These meetings are open to everyone who wants to learn more about the Hub’s work and are a key channel for community engagement.

The meetings typically last one hour and offer a forum for reporting, transparency, and community feedback.

Purpose of the meetings

The main goals of the Status Meetings are to:

Share updates on the Hub’s ongoing projects and activities.
Report on progress and milestones achieved.
Discuss future plans and opportunities for collaboration.
Provide a space for community members to ask questions and engage with the Hub staff and Steering Committee.

Participation and Steering Committee candidacy

To be able to stand as a candidate for the CEE Hub Steering Committee, a prospective candidate must:

Be eligible to vote in Hub elections according to the eligibility criteria.
Have participated in at least two of the last three CEE Hub Status Meetings before nominations close, where they will be invited to make their candidacy known to the CEE community prior to the election.

This requirement encourages active engagement and ensures that candidates are familiar with the Hub’s activities and priorities.

Format and frequency

The CEE Hub Status Meetings are held online on the third Wednesday of each month. Each session lasts about one hour.

How to join

You can join the meeting, entering the Google room when it starts, so at 6:00 PM CEST/CET on every third Wednesday of the month.
