Wikimedia CEE Hub as part of the Annual plan for this year, it has a programme for community/capacity building in the CEE Region. Chosen communities are Greek/Cypriot and Romanian/Moldovan communities, with which we will work through several specialists for both groups.

Are you passionate about communication and community engagement? Do you have a knack for crafting compelling messages and engaging with diverse audiences? We're looking for a Communication Specialist to join the Wikimedians of Romania and Moldova User Group team!

Contract
8 months, part-time (40%) (online, from home, with some trips in CEE region)
Responsibilities
  • Implement the communication strategy of the Wikimedians of Romania and Moldova User Group to promote their activities and initiatives.
  • Create engaging content for social media platforms, newsletters, and Meta,Wikimedia.org pages updates.
  • Collaborate with team members to organize and promote events, workshops, and community activities.
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of communication efforts and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Engage with community members and stakeholders to gather feedback and foster positive relationships.
Requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Romanian and English.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with social media management and content creation.
  • Knowledge of Wikimedia projects and the open knowledge movement is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
