Wikimedia CEE Hub as part of the Annual plan for this year, it has a programme for community/capacity building in the CEE Region. Chosen communities are Greek/Cypriot and Romanian/Moldovan communities, with which we will work through several specialists for both groups.

Are you passionate about education? Do you believe there is something for students to learn in a collaborative and international environment? We're looking for an Education Specialist to join the Wikimedians of Romania and Moldova User Group team!

Education Specialist
Contract
8 months, part-time, 40% (online, from home, with some trips in Romania and/or Moldova)
Responsibilities
  • Communicate with teachers interested in teaching about Wikimedia in their courses and recruit new teachers for such activities.
  • Create content specifically tailored to the needs of University students and teachers.
  • Collaborate with team members to organize and promote events, workshops, and community activities.
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of the classes’ efforts and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Engage with stakeholders to gather feedback and foster positive relationships.
Requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Romanian and English.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with content creation OR experience with creating and running workshops
  • Experience working with University professors.
  • Knowledge of Wikimedia projects and the open knowledge movement is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
