Community/capacity building
[edit]Wikimedia CEE Hub as part of the Annual plan for this year, it has a programme for community/capacity building in the CEE Region. Chosen communities are Greek/Cypriot and Romanian/Moldovan communities, with which we will work through several specialists for both groups.
Education Specialist

Are you passionate about education? Do you believe there is something for students to learn in a collaborative and international environment? We're looking for an Education Specialist to join the Wikimedians of Romania and Moldova User Group team!

- Education Specialist
- Contract
- 8 months, part-time, 40% (online, from home, with some trips in Romania and/or Moldova)
- Responsibilities
- Communicate with teachers interested in teaching about Wikimedia in their courses and recruit new teachers for such activities.
- Create content specifically tailored to the needs of University students and teachers.
- Collaborate with team members to organize and promote events, workshops, and community activities.
- Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of the classesâ efforts and make recommendations for improvement.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather feedback and foster positive relationships.
- Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Romanian and English.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience with content creation OR experience with creating and running workshops
- Experience working with University professors.
- Knowledge of Wikimedia projects and the open knowledge movement is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
