[edit]- What is the main goal of your project?
- The primary objective is to create a detailed, high resolution visual archive of the historical and cultural landmarks in Denizli. We aim to document sites that are currently underrepresented or missing on Wikimedia Commons. By doing so, we intend to provide high-quality, open-access visual data for Wikipedia articles in multiple languages.
- Describe which activities you plan to implement
- We will capture photographs with professional cameras at 40 locations in Denizli, including the 23 heritage sites of Laodikea and historic landmarks such as Yusuf Başkaya Mansion, Balcı Mansion, museums, and mosques. We will document these structures from antiquity to the Republic era with detailed images and upload them to Wikimedia Commons with bilingual descriptions. This project aims to preserve Denizli’s rich historical heritage digitally, making it globally accessible and enhancing the visuality of related Wikipedia articles and Wikidata items.
