CEE Youth Group

Who we are

CEE Youth Group — an initiative of the CEE Hub aimed at connecting young people (generally under the age of 30) from Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia across the region. The group focuses on supporting capacity building, peer learning, and leadership development among young Wikimedians. It is organised by the CEE Hub coordinator Barbara Klen and SC member Klára Joklová.

The group was established in May 2023 to support the next generation of contributors and leaders within the Wikimedia movement in the region.

The CEE Youth Group provides a safe and inclusive space for collaboration, sharing experiences, challenges, and ideas related to Wikimedia work. So far, the group has held three in-person meetings in Prague, Czechia and Yerevan, Armenia, in addition to regular bi-monthly online meetings. These meetings are organised and facilitated by group members on a rotating basis, encouraging shared ownership, active participation, and cross-regional collaboration. The group remains open to new participants who are interested in learning, contributing, and growing together with the CEE & Central Asia Wikimedia youth community.

Ҳадафҳо
