Summary[edit]
In this presentation we will show how to make an impactful outreach through organizing quality local Wikipedian conference (WikiLive in Serbia). We will explain why a good program can involve more of the core community, give them an opportunity to take part in WMRS activities and decision making process. Creating a proper event program and accomplishing a good organisation is applicable in most of the CEE chapters, which is why we want to share our positive experience and encourage others to organize similar events and meet-ups. This event can be useful for brainstorming and it can motivate the volunteers to come up with new ideas for projects.
Expected outcomes[edit]
Attendees will be familiar with good and bad aspects of organizing these events and will be able to apply it in their local community. This kind of conference could be a good place to start regional cooperation, bearing in mind that the organizers can invite guests from neighboring communities.
