Abstract (up to 100 words)

Maximum number of participants is 15. Before the workshop the participants upload the Ajapaik application in their phones.

The participants are warmly urged to rehearse by uploading and taking re-photos in their own vicinity. First, upload old street scene photos from Commons to Ajapaik and locate them, then take a photo.

The Ohrid workshop starts by viewing these photos as examples. Then the group moves to Ohric city center, where while a guided tour, we take rephotos of places.

Here are the historical photos from Ohrid in Commons: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Historical_images_of_Ohrid

How will this session be beneficial for the communities in the region of Central and Eastern Europe?

The participants can spread and teach the idea of rephotography in their own vicinity.

Special requirements

I must have a contact person, someone in Ohrid who can explain how we can reach the phone network, perhaps a prepaid. The contact person should ask a volunteer to give a guided tour in the city area. I myself am planning to come to Ohrid some days earlier to locate pictures. (finance for these days from Wikimedia Finland)

The workshop (90 min) should be scheduled to be the last in the program of the day, so the photographers can move into the city (5-6 km) and stay there to take photos. Don´t fix any extra appointments for this evening!
