As per the study in 2018, It is found that about 60% of technical contributions of the Wikimedia Foundation are from volunteers. In this talk we will be discussing the Wikimedia’s Ecosystem, Technical areas, projects for new developers and efforts to onboard new developers. The goal is to create awareness on various opportunities including Google Summer of Code and Outreachy programs with Wikimedia Foundation and engage participants & volunteers specially new developers from the MENA region with the technical spaces of Wikimedia Foundation.
