| Abstract:
This interactive workshop will introduce participants to Capacity Exchange (CapX), demonstrate its key features, and invite them to explore how it can serve CEE communities’ needs. CapX is an open online platform designed to help Wikimedians to connect, share skills, and build capacity across the movement. Through hands-on activities and collaborative discussion, attendees will identify regional strengths and gaps and contribute feedback. Whether you're looking to mentor, learn, or simply connect with like-minded peers, this session will help you tap into a growing network of Wikimedians committed to mutual support and foster future collaborations for your projects. |

| How will this session be beneficial for the communities in the region of CEE?
The Capacity Exchange (CapX) tool provides a unique opportunity for Central and Eastern European (CEE) communities to bridge gaps in skills, knowledge, and support across diverse Wikimedia contexts. By mapping local capacities and making them discoverable within the region and beyond, CapX empowers underrepresented communities to both share their expertise and access the help they need. For the CEE region, which includes many emerging affiliates and multilingual communities, CapX can facilitate mentorship, collaboration, and sustainable growth. This workshop will also surface region-specific needs, ensuring that the platform evolves in a way that reflects the priorities and realities of CEE communities. | |||
