Abstract:

National Library of Israel/New institutions to VIAF project - A big part of national libraries are not part of VIAF. Encouraging those libraries to join to VIAF with a help of bigger and stronger national libraries can benefit also to Wikidata and Commons. Leading this kind of projects is in scope of Wikimedia movement. The benefit for Wikidata involving this project is increasing the amount of identifiers, data refinement, linguistic diversity of the identifiers and more. As it's about national libraries the benefit for Commons is obvious. more media files that can be uploaded to Commons.
