| Abstract:
A survey is a first but effective step towards understanding and summarising the needs and problems of GLAM institutions related to the digitalisation of collections, generalizing the existing experience of cooperation between WMUA and GLAM institutions, understanding the number of potential partners. A nationwide survey is also the best way to understand what topics need better coverage and what additional and more detailed information is needed for potential Wikimedia partners (for example, about sister Wikiprojects and Creative Commons licences). |

| How will this session be beneficial for the communities in the region of CEE?
Since the topic is about project work, it is always useful to share experience, especially if the project was successful according to the results and evaluations. And for absolutely all countries, it is important to preserve cultural heritage, spread knowledge about it, and make access to it as easy as possible, which is what wikis provide in times of digitisation. | |||
