Abstract:

CEE Meeting 2026 will be the 15th gathering of the Central and Eastern European community. Over this time we have used a delegate system to ensure representation of all the CEE communities at the conference. Unfortunately, over the years, we have seen that sometimes there is little rotation between the participants and that some processes for selecting them are not as transparent as they should be. It is time to reflect on the current system, look at lessons learned and debate if there is a better option to ensure that the whole CEE region can CEE each other at the CEE Meetings. Let's change the system for next CEE conferences!

How will this session be beneficial for the communities in the region of CEE?

By adopting a new, more transparent and equitable system, for selecting the participants of the CEE Meeting we all stand to benefit. By having a conference with a more diverse group of participants we will learn more from each other and spread this knowledge further in our communities.
