| Abstract:
During this session, we invite you to work with the Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees on recognising the strategic risks that stand in front of the Wikimedia Movement. During this closed and unrecorded session, we invite those who are interested in talking about risks and challenges to the Movement and the Wikimedia projects and co-creating methods and ways to mitigate them. After a brief presentation by the members of the Board of Trustees, we will open up a discussion and dive deeper into several topics about strategic risks and planning around them. |

| How will this session be beneficial for the communities in the region of CEE?
By working together on the problems that the Wikimedia Movement has to face, we stand to create solutions that are more inclusive of people’s perspectives and are more specific to their particular problems. By sharing the nature of risks and their details with a larger group, we hope to deepen the understanding of pivotal problems for the Wikimedia Movement within the community. It is also a space to raise and discuss with the Board topics relevant to our region. | |||
Note
[edit]This submission is a more advanced proposal (with Meet the Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees aimed primarily at newcommers). We are available to work with the programming committee to combine the two sessions if needed. MaciejNadzikiewicz-WMF (talk) 19:58, 10 June 2025 (UTC)
