Wikimedia CEE Spring 2026/CEE for Human Rights
CEE for Human Rights is a sub-contest within the time frame of CEE Spring (21 March – 31 May 2026) aimed at the creation of articles about notable topics related to human rights in the region of Central and Eastern Europe. It is also part of the #WikiForHumanRights campaign.
Guide for participants
[edit]Eligibility
[edit]All interested editors with a Wikimedia account can participate in this sub-contest, but only those contributing to Wikipedia in one of the eligible languages can win a prize. The list of eligible languages includes all main and additional languages in the CEE region (see the list of CEE languages), as well as the languages primarily spoken within communities in the adjacent regions that are closely associated with the CEE region (Persian, Uzbek, Tajik, Karakalpak, Kyrgyz, Turkmen, Sakha and Tyvan).
Article submissions
[edit]Participants should add the CEE Spring template with one of the topic parameters set to "Human rights" (e.g. |topic2= Human rights) on the talk pages of all newly created or improved articles in order to submit them for consideration in this sub-contest.
Awards

[edit]The ten most prolific participants will be awarded vouchers from Amazon in the following amounts:
- 1st prize: a voucher worth €50
- 2nd prize: a voucher worth €40
- 3rd prize: a voucher worth €30
- 4th prize: a voucher worth €20
- 5th-10th prize: a voucher worth €10
Only participants with at least 25 articles are eligible for prizes.
